International Cricket Council is also known as ICC which is the international governing body of cricket. It was founded by as the Imperial Cricket Conference in 1909. In 1965 it is renamed as International Cricket Conference. The ICC has 104 members that includes 10 Full Members that play official Test matches, 34 Associate Members and 60 Affiliate Members. It also appoints the umpires and referees that officiate at all sanctioned Test matches, One Day International and Twenty20 Internationals. The ICC is responsible for the organization and governance of cricket's major international tournaments, most notably the Cricket World Cup.
