Adam Gilchrist is a former Australian International cricketer. The full name of Adam Gilchrist is Adam Craig Gilchrist. He was born 14 November 1971. He is an aggressive left handed batsman and record breaking wicketkeeper. He is one of the greatest wicket keeper and batsmen in the history of the cricket game. He made his first-class debut in 1992, his first One-Day International appearance in 1996 in India and his Test debut in 1999. During his career, he played for Australia in 96 Test matches and over 270 One-day internationals. He was Australia's vice-captain in both forms of the game. He retired from international cricket in March 2008 however he continues to play cricket for the Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League Twenty20 competition.
